Damn it BMW why couldn't you make the body line and the line between signal and brake light continuous.

You're welcome. This is how I see the world. Crooked pictures, poorly organized cabinets, body lines that don't line up, poorly placed things that result in bad ergonomics...

Not their fault as much as EU (and probably US these days) regulations. The concept vehicle probably looked perfect.

Ralph Lauren - "Yes, can I help you sir?"
Douchebag - "Yo, you know the guy on the horse you have on your shirts?"
Ralph Lauren - "Of course, that's our famous polo player logo."
Douchebag - "Yea, well, do you have any shirts where it's, like, 50 times the size?"
Ralph Lauren - "I'm afraid not."
Douchebag - "Well, you should make one. I want people to be able to recognize that I'm wearing a $100 designer shirt from, like, a block away."
Ralph Lauren - "I see."
Douchebag - "Yea, and while you're at it, can you make that logo, like, some fluorescent color? For extra visibility, know what I'm sayin'?"
Ralph Lauren - "Yes, yes I do."
Douchebag - "I bought an orange BMW M3 with checkered flag decals for the same reason."
Ralph Lauren - "...you want other people to be aware that you are a man of means and discriminating tastes."
Douchebage - "Ya! That's it! But I'm not racist."
Ralph Lauren - "Racist?"
Douchebag - "Isn't that what discriminating means?"

Wow, apply the Douche-Nozzle eraser to this pic and you'd have a great example of how overdoing it (just a little) can go horribly wrong...
Hear me out, would the paint be that offensive if; a) the checkered flag touch were on a different color (say white or silver), b) the orange paint a little less... I don't know, orange? Would the stance be that bad if; a) there was a normal amount of camber b) it be only lowered enough to properly fill the wheel wells?
I think if you'd dial those things back a bit, you'd have a pretty good looking car... Minus the douche on the rear bumper, he just needs to be set on fire in a dumpster.

If he'd kept it just orange and had a proper camber I think it would actually look good. The orange is loud but not too loud by itself.

I think its an optical illusion from the weight of Dochey McDoucherson sitting of the rear bumper compressing the rear suspension.

I'd never noticed that before, either. It seems that the convertible and wagon's lamps don't line up, either, but the sedan's do.
I though perhaps they shared lamp housings (differences in colour arrangements notwithstanding), but they are unique between the two. It's harder to see, but the bodyline crease continues into the lamp as it does on the sedan.

That's what I was referring to. I tried to lay-off the color choice because its so damn subjective, for instance orange and yellow are my two LEAST favorite colors (no offense to anyone, its just a matter of personal taste) and I'm against any shade of those colors on almost anything. I'd like to see the car without Señor Douchewaffle sitting on the rear bumper, the lowering might not be quite so offensive with the rear suspension unloaded. The camber is still just unfortunate...

I studied architecture. So that's why I see things the way I do. But the economy tanked and I'm getting out of it and into the medical field. So now I volunteer in a hospital. The building has received many additions over the years, and I swear to god, there are way too many parts of the hospital where you can't walk more than 20 feet without the hallway turning or jogging over. It's like the architects didn't bother to line up the old hallways with the new hallways nor slightly rearrange the old building where it meets the new wing for the sake of efficiency. Somehow the architects who did that have jobs but I don't... FML

Holy crap, I want to be an architect/car designer, and will apply for something of that degree after high school. Thankfully, I've also studied a bit of lifeguarding, in case that plan fails.
Any tips?

My first job after architecture school was building hospitals. I won't make excuses, but hospitals have to be one of the toughest kinds of buildings to do well.
Codes are stricter, technology needs are greater, and on average a hospital space is renovated every five years because of new technology, or intense use.
I did it for seven years before I had to get out and build things that pleased my artistic side, not just my love of technical detailing. Now I build university buildings, and I am much happier.

Researching right now (and by researching I mean "googling crap"). I don't find myself too passionate about it, so you do have a point.
Found this, might be useful for myself

Well, for example there is a hallway in the pre-surgery department where I volunteer. It is literally 1.5 beds long north, then turns 2 beds long west, then 1.5 beds back north and the hall is only 2 beds wide. Try pushing a patient on a bed through that hall on a busy morning. Pain in the ass.
I'm trying to get my analytical and problem solving skills I honed as an architect to carry over as a physician's assistant. I mean hell, if computer folks can call themselves IT/web architects, then we can call ourselves building doctors. We are as familiar with buildings as doctors are with the human body.

most bitter jalops think that people who dress like that violate the sanctity of cars and are the scum of the automotive world.
oh and any suspension modification is basically karmic death in their eyes.

Agreed, that kind of thing happened all the time when we renovated old hospital buildings. There would be an urgent need for a room to be converted to a new purpose, and the hospital would decide that they could do without a certain room. Everything around it would be sacred an couldn't be moved, and had to be open during construction. You would be left between a rock and hard place, figuring out how to squeeze it all in and still make it work for all the other purposes.
It is definitely a puzzle game, and some architects are better at it than others. I enjoyed it, but then again I like puzzles.

exactly. I'm terrible about modifying, the only car I own that I've done NOTHING to is my E39M5 because the car is literally perfect and even then I have to stop myself all the time.
I have a 2000 Acura TL that is so nicely and heavily modified that people always ask me what it is and where they can buy one...it has 280k on the clock and is 13 years old!

Pretty sure this was shot with a telephoto, which means you don't get nearly as much perspective shift like you'd do with a short focal length lens or an eyeball. Your eye is good at compensating for perspective shift. So good, it makes the front wheel look bigger because of the perspective shift from the long lens.
Same reason the moon and sun look "big" near the horizon. They ain't.

Love the color. A little chipped around the tailpipe and I prefer function over [slammed] form, but...otherwise, nice. The universe needs more bright orange cars, yo.
The graphics are a little 997.2 GT3 RSy, but at least they don't have that silly part over the wheel arch that the Porsche had.
